Inflation And Your Mortgage

By Mike Swanson

When we hear the word inflation we often feel it is a bad thing. The very hearing of the word can make us shudder. Inflation can mean that we pay more at the pump and more at the grocery store than we paid last month and scare the stock market beginners. The truth of the matter is, however, inflation may not always be bad. In fact, we depend on inflation for our properties to grow in value.

Here is an example of how inflation can be a good thing.

Rob and Mary bought a little house in 1991 for fifty eight thousand dollars. Their payments, including taxes and insurance were four hundred forty dollars each month.

In 2005, the value of their home had increased two hundred nine thousand dollars. Their payments have also increased due to an increase in the homes assessed value and insurance rates. Their total payment in 2005 is five hundred and forty dollars.

In this case, inflation has been helpful to Rob and Mary. Their home is now worth more than when they bought it and the home payment has not made a significant increase.

Recently, Rob and Mary had their home reappraised. Due to the economic conditions in the United State of late the home is now only worth one hundred fifteen thousand dollars. Their house payment remains exactly the same as it was in 2006, but the home has lost almost half of its value form 2006. The lack of inflation has caused Rob and Mary to lose net worth. Unless the economy turns around and we begin to have some inflation once again, their property will continue to lose value.

While none of us want to have runaway inflation which often is very harmful to those on fixed incomes, we all depend on some amount of inflation to keep our economy running smoothly.

What we really desire is to see balanced inflation. The prices of things grow gradually along with our paycheck as well as the value of our property. - 23204

By Bart Icles

A forex trading system is one of the things that you must give much consideration if you intend to enter the volatile but rewarding world of currency exchange. There are various kinds of forex trading systems available, all of which are designed according to the different needs of forex traders. Some are patterned from the typical requirements of an everyday trader, while some involve complex calculations that can help traders call positions at almost precise timings.

If you have invested time, money, and effort on your forex education and training, then you must have an idea of the significance of the learning stage in the forex market. You must also understand that apart from general information about the market, you must also keep yourself abreast of updates in the specific type of trading that you are interested in. However, a lot of currency traders overlook the importance of being informed. Many novice traders, and even seasoned traders, do not take the time to educate themselves before they jump into currency trading.

Part of your learning process is familiarizing yourself with different kinds of forex trading systems. Most of these systems are available online but you also have the option to create your own system. In developing your own trading system, you must understand that you should base your system on the principle that you will make a trade when you believe that the odds are in your favor. This signals the time when almost all fundamental and technical indicators point in certain directions that confirm one another.

Using fundamental and technical indicators, as well as chart patterns will help you determine a starting point for you to come up with trading strategies that have big chances of working. In making your own trading system, you will also be making use of trend lines, double tops, bottoms, Fibonacci levels, pivot points, and candle stick patterns.

Creating your own forex trading system will require you to be familiar with certain mathematical principles. Developing your own system is quite a challenging task. You will need to take some time off to think about all the hard work and effort that you will need to put in in developing your own trading system. You should understand that there is more to trading systems than just a bunch of indicators and confirming steps that need to be taken. There are still variables that you will need to consider and understand. - 23204

An Introduction to Forex Trading

By Bart Icles

Before we engage into any new venture, it is important that we give ourselves enough time to have a proper introduction to the new kind of business we are considering. The same is true if we are locking our eyes on to foreign exchange trading or forex trading. The forex or FX market is a very attractive kind of market, and is reputed to be the largest known financial or trading market in the world. Everyday, trillions of US dollars are being traded in this lucrative market. This average value is even greater than what US equity or stock markets can make in combined volume.

The foreign exchange market works through a spontaneous purchasing or buying of a certain currency in exchange for another type of currency. Although spontaneous, forex traders often make decisions based on market signals. This only emphasizes the different forms of irony that take place in this unpredictable kind of market. In trading currencies, you will notice they are typically bought and sold in groups of two or what the forex market knows as currency pairs. The most common currency pairs include EUR/USD and USD/JPY.

One of the most common questions that newcomers to the forex market have is why people need to engage in forex trading. Currencies are often traded because businesses and governments that sell and purchase products and services to international markets need to convert the profits that they make into currencies that can be accepted in their home countries. However, this only counts as a small part of the forex market.

The large bulk of earnings made through forex trading can be attributed to traders who venture into the market to make profits and at other times, speculations. Presently, currency trading is often done through the use of majors or the most liquid currencies. The most liquid currencies in the forex market as of date are the Euro, US dollar, Japanese Yen, Australian dollar, Canadian dollar, Swiss franc, and British pound.

One main advantage of the forex market is its availability to traders virtually 24 hours a day. Typically, the forex market opens each day a Sydney then makes its way to other forex trading centers in the world, including Tokyo, London, and New York. In this manner, forex traders or investors can quickly respond to currency fluctuations. These currency fluctuations are results of economic, social, and political events that take place and change everyday. - 23204

Bull Market Profits

By Mike Swanson

The terms bull and bear markets are used to describe the general trend of either increasing or decreasing stick prices. Of course stock prices fluctuate during the course of any trading day. The bear and bull market descriptors describe a trend over a longer period. Some analysts suggest the minimum time period is two months and the general price change needs to be plus or minus twenty percent.

The term bull market is when the stock market is increasing in price. These increases usually begin when the market is at its lowest ebb. You can see with gold stocks over the past few years. When the cycle changes and things begin improving the investing market feels there are profits to be made.

When a bear markets occurs there is a period of constant stock price decline. The decline is not in one stock but in the bulk of the market.

Probably the most well known bear market was the decline after the 1929 stock market crash. Following this 90% of share values were wiped in less than five years.

The patterns seen in a bear market tend to be a very big initial drop in values, which pushes a lot of the speculators out of the market. This is followed by a temporary period of stock price increases before the market starts to decline again over a longer period.

But bull and bear markets are a cycle and one follows another. The problem is that there is no guarantee when the change will come or how long the patterns will last. It is easy to identify in retrospect, but much harder predicting the future.

Many investors forget markets are cyclical. It is possible to make money in both bull markets and bear markets but to do so requires some understanding of what sort of market you are investing in. - 23204
